Cumin-and-Jaggery-Glazed Apple Pie

Prep the Apples: Begin by peeling, coring, and thinly slicing your favorite variety of apples, ensuring they are uniform in thickness for even cooking.

Prepare the Glaze: In a saucepan, combine cumin seeds, jaggery (or brown sugar), butter, and a pinch of salt.

Toss Apples in Glaze: Toss the sliced apples in the prepared cumin and jaggery glaze until they are evenly coated, infusing them with a unique blend of sweet and savory flavors.

Line Pie Dish with Crust: Roll out your pie crust and line a pie dish with it, ensuring there is enough overhang to seal and crimp with the top crust.

Fill the Pie: Arrange the glazed apple slices in the prepared pie crust, mounding them slightly in the center to accommodate shrinkage during baking.

Top with Pie Crust: Place the second layer of pie crust over the apple filling, sealing and crimping the edges with the bottom crust to create a decorative finish.
