Mince Pies Recipe

Ingredients: Gather ingredients like pre-made or homemade pastry dough, mincemeat filling , flour for dusting, and optional egg wash for glazing.

Prepare Pastry: Roll out the pastry dough on a floured surface and cut out circles using a pastry cutter, ensuring there are enough for both the bases and lids of the pies.

Fill the Pies: Place a spoonful of mincemeat filling onto each pastry base, ensuring not to overfill to avoid leaking during baking.

Add the Lids: Place the pastry lids over the mincemeat filling, gently pressing the edges to seal the pies.

Glaze (Optional): Brush the tops of the pies with beaten egg for a golden finish, enhancing their appearance.

Bake: Place the mince pies on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven until the pastry turns golden brown and the filling is bubbling, typically around 15-20 minutes.
